hello deer hosers.
Burlington Chiefs management(see photo) would like to invite all league owners to "raising the pennant on the overpass night".
State Troopers will shutdown the Interstate at 7pm. The raising of the world series pennant will begin hopefully before it gets dark...Master of Ceremonies will be my childhood idol; i give u Hall of Famer, Gary "the kid" Carter. We will try to center the pennant between the famous "Welcome Home Santiago Urbina" and of course "Welcome Home Troops" pennants. A big rock show will follow.
Opening the night will be "Da Yoopers" as suggested by our good friends from New Britain and World Series participants. Next is Toronto's own "Helix"as suggested by our dear Commish. Internationally renowned band also from Toronto "Rush" will join Bob and Doug Mackenzie. Free 2-4 to anyone singing "coooooooooo looooooooooo koooooooooo kooooooooo koooooooo koooooooo". To keep rocking in the free world, legendary singer "Neil Young" so the Santa Cruz Zumans will not want to miss this. The Centerpiece of this show will end with the future Queen of Canada, from Napanee, Ontario, "Avril Lavigne" and her husband's band "Sum 41". Everyone is welcome to bring the kids...
Fireworks will follow(provided by our troops). We might blow up the overpass folks, u never know. To end the night, everyone with decent lights on their pick-up trucks is invited to go deer hunting thru the woods all the way to Quebec if they like. Customs officers have been instructed to let anyone through if they can name any Stanley Cup winning team. Have a good one.
Baseball notes; Burlington Chiefs assign infielder Vladimir Rios to Siberia, Russia.
